Los Angeles deputy mayor Grace Davis will be presented with a plaque honoring her “outstanding service to the community and devotion to the arts” at Wednesday’s performance of Luis Santeiro’s “Our Lady of the Tortilla” at the Bilingual Foundation of the Arts (BFA). Davis’ successful lobbying has resulted in the continued funding of such city-supported cultural programs as Plaza de la Raza, Para los Ninos, and BFA’s usage of the former Lincoln Heights jail.
