Balmy Days Will Linger for Weekend
The clear skies and warm temperatures basting San Diego for the last few days will stay through the weekend, the National Weather Service said Tuesday.
A strong high-pressure system coming in from the west has brought the gift of hazy sunshine and high temperatures, providing relief from the chill of the past weeks.
“If you like sunshine, it will be a beautiful day,” forecaster Frank Perdue said. “Everything is well above freezing. The weather is going to persist for a while. We’ll see some low clouds and fog toward the end of the week, but the weather should remain dry right on into the weekend.”
Coastal highs in the mid- to high- 70s are expected, with lows of 45 to 52 degrees tonight. Inland areas should reach 75 to 85 degrees, dropping to 38 to 45 degrees tonight.
Mountain highs of 57 to 65 degrees and lows from 30 to 38 degrees are expected. Deserts may reach 90 degrees, then slide to the low 50s or high 40s tonight.
The surf is 2 to 4 feet at 12-second intervals, and the water temperature is 55 degrees.
