IN BRIEF : Don Galloway to Head Los Alamitos
Hospital executive Don Galloway has been named general manager of Los Alamitos Race Track, according to an announcement today by Marjorie L. Everett, chief operating officer of Hollywood Park, which owns and operates the Orange County track. Galloway, 56, was an executive with Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, where he managed for-profit businesses involving hospitals, physicians and medical groups, according to Everett. Previously, Galloway spent 26 years with the County of Los Angeles, including supervisory positions with the County Redevelopment Agency and Department of Community Development. Galloway has served as assistant to the county chief administrative officer, responsible for budget planning and expenditure control.
