REAL ESTATE : UC Irvine Chooses Akins Development to Build University Hills Housing

The Irvine Campus Housing Authority picked a Newport Beach home builder, Akins Development Co., to build housing for UC Irvine faculty and employees in the campus’s University Hills neighborhood.
Akins said it was selected over 10 other builders. The project includes 88 homes scheduled for completion in September. The University Hills neighborhood offers faculty affordable housing.
