THE COMMUNITY COLLEGES : Community Colleges Begin Regional Play
Rancho Santiago College leads five Orange County teams into the Southern California regional men’s basketball playoffs, which start tonight.
The Dons (18-10) play host to Citrus (17-15) in a first-round game at 7:30.
In other first-round games tonight: Golden West (20-11) plays host to Glendale (18-11) at 8; Orange Coast (20-11) plays host to Los Angeles Harbor (15-13) at 7:30; Fullerton (20-10) is at Pasadena (18-9) at 7, and Cypress (13-16) plays Oxnard (19-11) at Santa Clara High School at 7.
Second-round games are Tuesday or Wednesday and the regional final is Saturday.
The top four teams from the south and north regionals meet in the state tournament March 9-11 at the University of Santa Clara.
