Los Angeles police arrested a North Hollywood man Wednesday in a Sun Valley bar shooting that left one man dead and another injured last month, authorities said.

Alfred M. Cook, 27, was arrested at 7 a.m. at Saticoy Street and Lankershim Boulevard after police followed him from his nearby apartment, Los Angeles Police Detective Mike Coffey said.

Coffey said Cook is suspected in the Feb. 12 slaying of Agapito B. Cervantes, 27, of North Hollywood. The shooting occurred during an argument at the Tabu Room bar in the 11600 block of Sherman Way.

After shooting Cervantes, police said, Cook also shot Pedro G. Robles, 20, of Sun Valley. Robles was only slightly injured. Cervantes died about an hour after the shooting.

Coffey said other patrons of the bar identified Cook as the gunman. He was arrested on suspicion of murder.
