Washington State football coach Dennis Erickson denied reports that he has been offered the coaching position at the University of Miami and said he hasn’t decided whether he would accept an offer if he received one.

Erickson would neither confirm nor deny published reports that Cougar quarterback Timm Rosenbach has decided to skip his senior season and turn professional but said there was no connection between his plans and any decision by Rosenbach.

Erickson is one of two coaches known to have interviewed with Miami Athletic Director Sam Jankovich for the job. The other is Miami assistant head coach Gary Stevens.
