Saatchi Combines Offices: The ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi DFS has merged its offices in Torrance and San Francisco to form Saatchi & Saatchi DFS/Pacific. The units, which had operated as separate agencies, posted combined annual billings of $310 million in 1988. Jim Lindsey, chairman of the Torrance office, has been named chairman and chief executive of the merged operation. Nelson (Skip) Riddle, becomes director of business development for the new firm in addition to being president and chief operating officer of the Torrance office. Meanwhile, Saatchi & Saatchi Team One, the Torrance agency created to handle Toyota’s Lexus luxury car division, will remain autonomous.
