4 Guatemalan Soldiers Killed in Rebel Ambush

GUATEMALA CITY — Leftist rebels ambushed an army patrol in northwest Guatemala, killing four soldiers and wounding two, the army said Wednesday.
Rebels sprang the ambush by setting off a mine Sunday as the patrol was traveling near the village of Cuarto Pueblo 90 miles northwest of Guatemala City, the army said in a communique.
