IN BRIEF : Banks, Baugh Sign With Browns
CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns today announced the signing of their eighth and ninth free agents, defensive end Robert Banks of the Houston Oilers and center Tom Baugh of the Kansas City Chiefs. The 6-foot-5, 254-pound Banks spent two years with the Oilers, the first on the injured reserve list with finger and knee injuries. Last season he played in 14 Oiler games and one of the team’s two playoff games. The 6-foot-3, 290-pound Baugh was a backup center for 1 1/2 seasons at Kansas City and then landed the starter’s job. He spent the final four weeks of last season on injured reserve following knee surgery.
