‘Meaning of Roe vs. Wade’

I want to commend The Times for your editorial. It is a calm, reasoned and, I think, compelling statement in support of leaving Roe vs. Wade alone.

People disagree about a lot of things in this country, but that does not mean that all our disagreements have to be resolved. Nor should a minority view rule. Polls find that the majority of people believe in freedom of choice.

Let’s leave each other alone. Let’s respect and keep the privacy of reproductive decisions, including abortion.

In that process we respect the dignity and intelligence and worthiness of individuals and their ability to make their own decisions in conjunction with their families and physicians.
