Man Is Arrested in Fatal Shooting
A 45-year-old man was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a East San Diego man Saturday, police said.
About 10:20 a.m., patrol officers responded to a call regarding a shooting at Fairmont and Thorn. The officers found Robert Earl McClain, 35, of 3552 43rd St., lying on the sidewalk. McClain had been shot several times with a small-caliber rifle.
Wilbert Lee Hill was arrested at his residence and booked into County Jail on suspicion of murder.
Investigators said the motive for the shooting was under investigation.
