MAYORAL RACE

Mayor Tom Bradley will announce his endorsement of the Latino Justice/Public Safety Political Endorsing Convention, which represents six Latino Political Action Committees, at a press conference at 11:30 a.m. today, on the First Street steps of City Hall.

CITY COUNCIL RACES

The Sylmar Landowners Assn. for Fair Development will hold a candidates forum at 7 p.m. today with 7th District City Council candidates at the Sylmar Recreation Center, 13109 Borden Ave.

Write-in 5th District candidate Jack McGrath will hold a press conference today at 10:30 a.m. at City Hall, outside Room 334. McGrath will challenge Councilman Zev Yaroslavsky to a debate with high school students from the Westlake School for Girls.

COLLEGE BOARD RACE

Jeff Shane, a Beverly Hills attorney and candidate for Office No. 6, receives the endorsements of the Chicano Correctional Workers Assn. and the Latino Firefighters Assn., at a press conference today at 11:30 a.m. today on the City Hall First Street steps. Shane will also be appearing on the American Jewish Hour on Channel 10 at 8 p.m. Saturday and at 6 p.m . Sunday.
