Tim Reid and Daphne Maxwell Reid, who starred on CBS-TV in “Frank’s Place,” have been honored by the National Assn. of Black Owned Broadcasters for “portraying black Americans in a positive and realistic light.” The Reids, who are husband and wife, received the group’s outstanding leadership in communications award. The broadcasters also noted that Reid is the founder of the Entertainment Industries Council for a Drug-Free Society and that he created an anti-drug video in 1986, “Stop the Madness.”
