Local News in Brief : Tustin : 2 Hurt When Police Car, Private Vehicle Collide
A collision about 8:15 a.m. Monday between a Tustin police car and a privately owned vehicle caused minor injuries to both drivers, authorities said.
Tustin Police Officer Pam Hardacre was driving to the scene of a traffic accident when her vehicle collided with a car driven by Arosa Rodrigues of Norwalk at the intersection of Newport and Walnut avenues, Tustin police said.
Police said Hardacre’s car was traveling with both the siren and flashing lights turned on.
The two drivers were treated and released at Healthcare Medical Center in Tustin. Hardacre had injuries to the lower legs, and Rodrigues suffered neck and shoulder injuries, police said.
No citations were issued, but an investigation of the accident is continuing, police said.
