San Diego
The Metropolitan Transit Development Board broke ground Thursday for the San Diego Trolley’s Bayside Extension, a major link from San Diego’s waterfront to Centre City.
The 2-mile Bayside Extension will serve San Diego’s Convention Center, Seaport Village and nearby residential areas. The line will also connect with trolleys traveling to the Gaslamp Quarter, Horton Plaza and Mexico.
The Bayside Extension is scheduled to begin service in June, 1990.
