Anti-Semitic Slogans Painted on Synagogue
Vandals armed with spray cans painted swastikas and anti-Semitic slogans on the walls of a Simi Valley synagogue, the Simi Valley Police Department reported Wednesday.
The symbols, which included references to Hitler and the Nazis, were painted on exterior walls of Temple Ner Tamid on Monday night, Lt. Don Austin said. A secretary discovered the graffiti when she arrived for work at the temple Tuesday morning, he said.
It was the first such incident at the temple, said the secretary, who did not give her name. She said the graffiti would be painted over as soon as possible.
She would not say how much graffiti were found, but said the vandalism was bad enough to prompt her to contact police.
Police do not have any suspects in the case, Austin said.
