Beverly Hills : Student on School Board
Beverly Hills High School students next week will elect their first student representative to the school board.
The non-voting student member will serve a one-year term beginning July 1 and will attend all board meetings except executive sessions, according to state education codes.
The student must be a sophomore, junior or senior and have a minimum grade point average of 2.5.
Last month, students presented board members with more than 300 signatures, asking that a student member be allowed to serve.
