El Toro’s Drinkwater Headed to Texas A
El Toro High School shortstop Sean Drinkwater has signed a letter of intent to attend Texas A&M; University on a baseball scholarship.
As a senior, Drinkwater hit .345 with six home runs and 20 RBIs, and he helped lead El Toro into the Southern Section 3-A title game as a junior. He also played football and was among the top wide receivers in the county last fall.
Drinkwater also visited Arizona, Arizona State and Wyoming before choosing Texas A&M.; He plans to major in business.
