From Associated Press
PROVIDENCE, R. I. —
A man who said he began by shooting at street lights but switched to people when it “got boring” was convicted Friday in a series of snipings that terrorized communities in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
A Superior Court jury found Russell J. Ducharme II guilty on 30 of 36 counts, including eight counts of assault with intent to commit murder and seven counts of conspiracy to commit murder during late 1986 and early 1987.
Four people were injured in the attacks.
