1 Killed, 1 Wounded in Drive-By Shooting
One man was killed and another critically wounded Monday by rifle shots fired from a car in what investigators described as a gang-related shooting, police said.
Officers summoned about 3:15 p.m. to a reported shooting outside a home in the 100 block of North Spring Street found Louis Rodriguez, 18, with multiple gunshot wounds and Marco Antonio Ramerez, 20, with wounds to his leg and side, Sgt. Dennis Auner said.
Rodriguez died before paramedics arrived. Ramerez was taken to Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center in critical but stable condition, Auner said.
