All-Stars From Four Leagues to Meet in Doubleheader

The top senior baseball players representing four high school leagues in Orange County will be featured in the first Irvine Baseball Assn. senior all-star games June 18 at UC Irvine’s Anteater Stadium.

The doubleheader, sponsored by The Times’ Orange County Edition, will begin at 3 p.m. with the Angelus League all-stars meeting the Sea View League all-stars. The second game, scheduled to begin at 7, will feature the South Coast League all-stars against the Pacific Coast League all-stars.

Bob Ickes of Mater Dei will coach the Angelus League all-stars and will have seven players from his team that won the league title. Vince Brown of Tustin will coach the Sea View League all-star team that features six players from Estancia.

Ron Drake of Mission Viejo will coach the South Coast League all-stars and will have five players from his team that won the league title. Jack Hodges of Laguna Hills will coach the Pacific Coast League all-stars and will have seven players from his team that won the league title.
