Local : 2 Southlanders Split $5.4 Million

Two Southern Californians beat odds of 1 in 14 million to pick all six numbers in the midweek Lotto 6-49 drawing, splitting a $5.4 million jackpot, state lottery officials said today.
They each will receive $2.7 million after their claims are verified at lottery offices. The tickets were purchased in Torrance, Los Angeles County, and Garden Grove, Orange County.
The winning numbers in Wednesday’s drawing were 3, 23, 27, 28, 38 and 40 with the bonus number 22, officials said.
