Man, 19, Charged in Slaying, Rape of 3
A 19-year-old reputed gang member was charged Monday with raping and shooting a 14-year-old Inglewood girl and two women, one of whom died last week, police said.
J. C. Metoyer, who was arrested last weekend, will be arraigned today in Los Angeles Municipal Court on murder and other felony charges and could face the death penalty.
Metoyer was charged with killing a 19-year-old woman and wounding a 32-year-old and her daughter, 14, during an attack June 3 in the home the women shared in Inglewood.
He was also charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of residential robbery and four counts of rape, as well as mayhem and burglary. He could face the death penalty if convicted of murder.
Meanwhile, a Torrance man, Marvin Feldman, who heard reports of the crime, said he is creating a committee to help raise money for counseling and medical treatment for the surviving mother and daughter. He said a bank account will be opened later this week.
