Commerce : $23.7-Million Budget Includes 5% Pay Raise
The Commerce City Council on Tuesday approved a 1989-90 budget that anticipates spending $23.7 million to maintain the current level of services with a 5% pay raise for city employees.
City officials estimate that Commerce will have spent $23.4 million during the 1988-89 fiscal year, which ends June 30. The city is projected to finish the year with a $5.35-million reserve.
The city expects to receive revenues of $23.6 million during 1989-90, according to a report prepared by John Mitsuuchi, director of finance. Mitsuuchi projects the city will finish the year with a $5.25-million reserve.
