Keith Starr, who has been an assistant basketball coach at Nevada Las Vegas the past four seasons, was named an assistant coach at Cal State Fullerton Monday.

Starr, 35, replaces Donnie Daniels, who left to take a similar position at Utah.

“I’m looking forward to coming to Fullerton,” Starr said. “We’ve always had a lot of respect for the Fullerton program. They’ve always played hard and always had great athletes.”

At UNLV, Starr assisted Coach Jerry Tarkanian and ran the school’s summer basketball camps.
