Hiring Agreement Reached: DPC Acquisition Partners, a New York investment group that wants to buy Dataproducts Corp., said it has agreed to hire veteran high-technology executive James Simpson of Los Altos as Dataproducts’ chief executive should it succeed in buying the Woodland Hills computer printer maker. DPC has not made a formal bid for Dataproducts but has previously said it would be willing to pay $15 a share, or about $300 million, for the company.
