Canadian Yachtsman Killed by Boat’s Boom

NEW YORK —
The chief of pediatrics at a Canadian hospital was struck and killed by the boom of his yacht during a sailboat race from Massachusetts to Bermuda, the Coast Guard reported Tuesday.
The dead yachtsman was identified as Dr. Donald E. Hill, 52, chief of pediatrics at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
