The National Education Assn. called for systematic computer training for teachers and a computer on every teacher’s desk by 1991. An NEA technology report issued in Washington says teachers could devote more time to teaching and less to paper work if they were able to use computers to record grades, keep attendance and develop tests. The recommendations were part of a technology report issued on the final day of the teacher union’s annual conference.
