Hurdlers David Patrick and Sandra Farmer-Patrick, the first husband and wife to win national championships in 29 years, head the U.S. track and field team that will compete in the World Cup meet Sept. 8-10 at Barcelona, Spain.
Also on the team are three 1988 Olympic medalists--hurdler Roger Kingdom, long jumpeer Larry Myricks and shotputter Randy Barnes.
The last husband and wife to win national championships in the same year were Harold and Olga Connolly, who have since divorced.
