W. Hollywood : Gay Advisory Group Picked
The City Council has appointed eight members to a new Lesbian and Gay Advisory Council. The panel, which is to meet for the first time this month, will advise the City Council on issues related to the gay community.
The four men and four women include: community activist John A. Allendorfer; Jeff Beane, a founder of the Los Angeles Men’s Collective and the National Organization for Changing Men; Gregory K. Travis, a psychologist; David A. Welch, a member of the Valley Business Alliance; art dealer Kim Kralj; Jackie Gelfand, an officer with the Municipal Election Commission of Los Angeles; attorney Lisa Powell, and Brenda A. Riemer, coordinator of the West Hollywood Women’s Softball League.
