A co-owner of Creative Artists Agency reached a settlement in the divorce case that had threatened to throw the secretive agency’s finances open to public scrutiny, individuals on both sides of the dispute said Friday.

The case involves Ron Meyer, a co-founder of the agency, and Ellen Meyer, a casting director to whom he was married for about 12 years. Earlier this year, a Los Angeles court had ordered the agency to disclose details of its finances and those of its clients to Ellen Meyer, who was seeking a share in her husband’s assets, which include a 22% stake in the agency.

Both Ron Meyer and an attorney for Ellen Meyer said a settlement was reached Thursday evening. Both sides declined to discuss terms, but Ron Meyer said his wife wouldn’t receive any stock in CAA.

CAA represents a large number of top film, music and TV stars, including Dustin Hoffman, Tom Cruise, Barbra Streisand, Michael Jackson and others.

Norman Oberstein, an attorney who represents Ellen Meyer, said he believed the settlement would be filed in court “within weeks,” but that its terms would probably be held from public view by a protective order.
