MARIETTA, Ga. — A disgruntled former employee shot two of his ex-supervisors, killing one and seriously injuring the other, then took a co-worker hostage at a Coca-Cola plant late Friday, police said.
John Wallace, 45, fired earlier in the evening, was believed to be holed up, shortly before midnight in the Coca-Cola Distribution Center in this northern Atlanta suburb after the hostage was freed, unharmed, authorities said.
Cobb County Police Chief Culver Johnson said Wallace came to work at the plant near the Six Flags Over Georgia amusement park shortly before 10 p.m. and was told of his dismissal. The reason was not immediately known.
