THE SIDELINES : Eagles Guard Ron Baker Retires

PHILADELPHIA — Offensive guard Ron Baker today announced his retirement from the Philadelphia Eagles, ending a 12-year NFL career.
Baker, 34, quit after a season in which he suffered a training camp injury and returned to solidify the offensive line for the last seven games of the Eagles’ drive to their first playoff berth since 1981.
