With more than 15 million Paddington Bear books sold worldwide and 4 million of the plush bears sold in the United States in the last five years, the cuddly animal is about to take the next step to superstardom: a TV show. Hanna-Barbera Productions will produce 13 half-hour animated “Paddington Bear” episodes to air this fall as part of the two-hour “The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera” Sunday morning package. The shows will be a mix of Michael Bond’s Paddington Bear books and new stories.
