A traveler is suing Cathay Pacific Airways and a passenger for allegedly spoiling her Hong Kong vacation by dumping a pitcher of cold water on her during a flight from San Francisco. Florence May charged in a suit filed in Santa Clara County Superior Court that the plane left on Nov. 1 and Rodger B. Hardin, in the seat behind her, began hollering and shaking her seat and finally dumped the water on her. May charged that Hardin’s disruptive behavior made her physically sick and ruined her vacation. The plaintiff said the airline should have protected her from the unruly passenger. May is seeking unspecified damages.
