Santa Ana : Vietnamese Catholics’ Convention Under Way
The third national convention of the Vietnamese Catholic Federation will feature a procession followed by a Mass at 6 tonight at Santa Ana Stadium at 6th and Flower streets in Santa Ana.
The three-day conference began Thursday and will conclude Sunday.
Sunday’s program will include an 8:30 a.m. parade of Catholic youth, followed by a consecrated High Mass, also at the stadium. Both Masses will feature the Vietnamese Music Liturgy with a 250-member choir and full orchestra.
The Most Rev. Enrique San Pedro, chairman of the U.S. Bishops’ Committee on Refugees, will preside at closing ceremonies. A dozen archbishops and bishops and several hundred priests are expected to participate.
