Church & Dwight Co., Princeton, N.J., makers of Arm & Hammer brand products, has named Spencer J. Volk, 55, to the newly created post of president and chief operating officer. Volk, who had been president of Tropicana Products Inc., most recently ran the Volk Group, which was formed to acquire Tropicana from Kohlberg Kravis Roberts. Seagrams, however, bought Tropicana. Prior to Tropicana, Volk was vice president-marketing and sales for refrigerated foods at Beatrice.
