Alan Eagleson, executive director of the NHL Players Assn., has postponed a union meeting that was scheduled to review measures that would diminish his power.
Player representatives from the 21 clubs were supposed to meet in Toronto next Monday and Tuesday to ratify measures adopted after Eagleson survived a no-confidence vote last month.
Eagleson said he canceled the meeting because an audit, which was requested after Eagleson acknowledged using money belonging to the association for loans to friends, isn’t ready.
