The jury in the David Lucas murder trial will continue deliberating today on whether to recommend sentencing the convicted multiple murderer to death.
Jurors said Tuesday that they were deadlocked over whether to recommend the death penalty or life in prison without the possibility of parole. However, they resumed deliberations on the issue Wednesday at the request of Superior Court Judge Laura Hammes.
Lucas, 34, a Spring Valley carpet cleaner, was convicted by the jury of the first-degree murders of two women and a child, and of trying to murder a Seattle woman.
