Eliminate Private Jutouts Into Streets
Baloney! The city has all the money it needs to eliminate each and every one of those jutouts.
And it certainly has the legal right--via eminent domain--to take such trifles of real property for the common good.
No. The only reason the city of Los Angeles does not correct these obscenities is simply that the San Fernando Valley is a huge cash cow, developing millions of tax dollars here which are gleefully spent elsewhere.
You think I’m wrong?
Check out how much tax money is collected in this area vs. how much of that tax money is spent here, and then tell me that Los Angeles can’t afford to eliminate the jutouts.
As long as San Fernando residents are quietly accepting this second-class citizenship, for so long will the City Council gladly cooperate in shafting them.
