TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras — One U.S. Marine and six Honduran troops were wounded when a grenade accidentally exploded during joint training near the southern Honduran town of San Lorenzo, a Honduran military official said Wednesday.
The five Hondurans were released and the U.S. Marine was in fair condition, U.S. military spokesman Maj. Donald Sensing said, but he withheld the names. A faulty grenade went off unexpectedly in the tube of a grenade launcher Tuesday injuring the operating crew.
