8 Charged With Insider Trading on Revco: Eight people were accused in two separate complaints of trading on inside information concerning the 1986 leveraged buyout of Revco Drug Stores Inc. The civil charges were filed at federal court in Cleveland and announced by the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington. One complaint charged an administrative assistant at Cleveland-based Golenberg & Co., Shirley Shiffman, and her husband, George, both of Aurora, Ohio. In the second complaint, six people also were accused of trading on non-public information concerning the Revco buyout. All but one immediately settled the allegations with the SEC without admitting or denying wrongdoing.
