Two Crocker Products Sold: Betty Crocker’s creator, General Mills Inc., said it has sold the rights to two products that bear her name. Betty Crocker Brownie Sundae and Betty Crocker Gold Rush Bars were sold to a New York-based investment group, Weatherly Frozen Food Group Inc., as part of the group’s purchase of Vroman Foods, a division of General Mills that makes frozen confections. General Mills also sold frozen Yoplait yogurt as part of the deal. No other Betty Crocker brands were sold in the transaction. In its 1988 annual report, General Mills said Betty Crocker Brownie Sundae was the company’s leading new product for the 1988 season.
