SYDNEY, Australia —
Dwayne McClain scored 22 points and was named the most valuable player as he led a team of former NBA All-Stars to a 143-108 victory over the Australian national basketball team today.
McClain, a member of Villanova’s NCAA team and the 1988-89 Continental Basketball Assn.’s leading scorer, hit six baskets in the second half.
Bob McAdoo scored 23 points for the winners, known as the Traveling Daedals and headed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
This was the second game of a three-game series. Australia won the first game at Melbourne 120 to 115 Monday.
