Service to Be Friday for Law Firm Partner, Victim of Heart Attack
A memorial service will be conducted Friday for a founding partner in a Tustin-based law firm who passed away last week after a sudden heart attack.
The service for Scott M. McCune, 40, is to be held at 2 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 17th Street and Prospect Avenue in Tustin. Donations are being accepted to fund a memorial scholarship at Western State University School of Law. Inquiries can be directed to Larry Willis at (714) 730-5700.
McCune died Saturday at Torrance Memorial Hospital as the result of a heart attack, his business associates said. A specialist in insurance law, McCune in 1975 helped found the law firm of Callahan, McCune & Willis, which is based in Tustin and also has offices in West Los Angeles and San Diego. He also served as a judge pro tem in Los Angeles and Orange County courts and lectured to law and insurance groups.
He is survived by his wife, Brandi; a daughter, Christina Marie, 2; a sister, Carol Mann of Redondo Beach, and his parents, William and Lorraine McCune of Huntington Harbour.
