Kareem Abdul-Jabbar made his last sky hook as a team of former National Basketball Assn. all-stars defeated a Taiwanese team, 133-117, at Taipei.
After the basket, the former Laker star ran around the court as a crowd of 8,000 gave him a standing ovation. Abdul-Jabbar, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, retired earlier this year after 20 seasons in the league. He said that Sunday’s game was his last.
George Gervin scored 29 points, and Abdul-Jabbar had 14. Lee Chih-chiang of Taiwan scored 46.
