Darlene Campbell’s painting, “Laguna Canyon Road 1989” won a recent competition sponsored by the Laguna Beach Arts Commission. Campbell’s piece, chosen from among 22 entries submitted on the theme, “Our Native Environment,” was purchased for the city’s art collection. The $2,000 purchase price was donated to the Arts Commission by City Council member Neil G. Fitzpatrick.
