Rose Simply Betting He’ll Be Reinstated; Public Deserves More
Our feelings go out to Pete Rose.
We realize that it is natural for some persons to choose sides and decide one way or another about what he did. We, on the other hand, would like to say that he is and forever will be a wonderful human being.
About three years ago, after already having been diagnosed as having leukemia, our son had a wish to meet Pete Rose in person. The Make A Wish Foundation made it possible at a Reds’ game in San Diego.
The meeting left an everlasting impression upon our son, and we were grateful to Rose for taking the time out of his busy schedule to meet with us. Rose has given much of himself to the public unselfishly, with great care and understanding.
We wish him good luck and hope that everything will turn out all right for him and his family.
