Christian Cruises in Scratch Main Event

Alan Christian of Murrieta was a wire-to-wire winner of the four-lap scratch main event of the weekly speedway motorcycle program Friday night at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

Jim Sisemore of Woodland was second, Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa third and Mike Faria of Riverside fourth.

Steve Russell of Anaheim won the eight-lap handicap main. Schwartz was second, Sisemore third, Steve Lucero of Riverside fourth and Phil Collins of Newport Beach fifth.
